Bathroom Dreams – A Computer In the Bathroom
A Computer In the Bathroom
Hello,
I’ve recently had a recurring dream that I go to the bathroom, but once I walk through the bathroom door, there are people casually hanging out, just sitting around, talking, and the room is decorated with chairs and tables and whatever else. The last one, there was a TV that everyone was watching. There were two toilets smack dab in the middle of the room, and since I really had to go, I pulled my pants down and sat on the seat in one swift motion to try to keep modest, but one of the people signaled to me that I needed to pull my shirt down to better cover myself. These were people that I know and am in almost daily contact with, by the way.
Once I had already sat down, but before I had started going to the bathroom, I turned around and noticed that they were all disgusted with me and pointed to a part of the room I hadn’t noticed before, with another set of doors with signs for the bathrooms. I then walk into the women’s bathroom (and I’m a girl, so that’s no problem) and once I get in there, there are private stalls for the toilets, but there’s a computer that distracts me and I start working on it. Then I woke up.
I’m thinking maybe there are things that I need to do but I’m getting distracted? Maybe I’m too busy at work to finish my school work? Tell me what you think.
All the best,
Lindsey

Hi Lindsey,
Thank you for sharing your dream with us.
To dream that you are in a restroom with a lot of people around while you are trying to do your business signifies your frustrations about getting enough privacy. You are always putting others ahead of your own needs. As a result, you are lacking a sense of personal space. Your dream also suggests that you are having difficulties letting go of old emotions. You are afraid that if you reveal these feelings, then others around you will judge and criticize you (i.e. people in the room being disgusted with you).
The computer in the restroom that you are distracted by represents safety. You are hiding behind a computer where your feelings don’t have to come into play. People are not looking at you and judging you. Perhaps in your waking life, you are spending too much time in front of a screen instead of interacting directly with people.
Hope that helps.
Best Regards,
