Lit Hub will be honoring the National Shutdown tomorrow.

In honor of all those brave Minnesotans who marched in sub-zero temperatures last Friday, and who have since made national calls for solidarity as they face down the authoritarian violence of ICE and Border Patrol agents, Lit Hub will be honoring tomorrow’s national shutdown.

As we have been all week, we will continue to publish Letters From Minnesota that bear witness and provide warning of what this administration—this country—is capable of. Three of these letters, which had been planned for tomorrow, January 30th, will appear at the site at 11:59pm EST, January 29th; we will also be scheduling all social media posts and newsletters today, to appear tomorrow, the 30th. Lit Hub’s homepage tomorrow will be dedicated to the voices of Minnesotans, along with past writing we’ve published about authoritarian overreach, the importance of solidarity in the face of tyranny, and the unsung but compelling history of American organizing.

We invite you to join us.
